Historically, among Protestant churches Anglicans came first and then came others like the Presbyterians. I was very surprised to be in a parish where the priest was married. I was more familiar with celibate Catholic priests. It was interesting to find an alive community in the way they worshipped the Lord, studied the Bible, and led the Christian life. It was very different from my Catholic upbringing. One example was the sign of the peace.

His hatred of evangelicals who refuse to fall into line, and in the case of the ACNA Archbishop, failure to even recognize him as an authentic Anglican, should trouble even liberals and progressives who believe in the fabled doctrines of inclusion and diversity. His authoritarianism is emerging at warp speed.

"We regard both the House of Bishops' Report and the Draft Worship Resources as unbiblical, contrary to the doctrine and teaching of the Church of England, and therefore entirely inappropriate," they wrote, highlighting particular concern for the "pastoral damage from the House of Bishops decisions" to those in same-sex relationships.

Welby then used the Old Testament tale of the Tower of Babel to criticize the use of language for "the imposition of one's will, the means to bring coercion and dominance," and suggested that unity for its own sake is not always ideal.
