VisitA Wandering Pilgrim Popular Last Update: 2011/11/3 19:09
Description:
This is my blog. I'm a young sinner saved by Grace wandering like Bunyan's Pilgrim on the oft dangerous road towards that Celestial City where my Master reigns. Though young I like Christian have met Mr. Worldly Wiseman and Mr. Legality but have now reached the place of Deliverance... but the road ahead is long and the afflictions will be great so please keep me in your prayers!

This blog is my way of relating to you my journey in faith. It is a personal blog and I like to think of it as a chat between two friends.... you and I discussing the faith. Since I started this blog in mid February 2011 it has grown to become one of the fastest growing Anglican web logs around today, with thousands of visitors coming from America, Germany and Africa as well as closer to home. We are growing all the time all to the glory of God.

Updated regularly the blog was recently a Semi-finalist in the Northern Ireland Social Media Awards 2011, and has been nominated for The Guardians Newspaper's (in association with Total Politics) "Top 20 N.Ireland Blogs" and the Blogger's Choice Awards in the "Best Religious Blog 2011" category. Also the feedback from other more accomplished bloggers has meant a lot to me and has undoubtedly encouraged me to continue on.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my little blog, and thank you for your support and prayers!

We adhere to the BCP 1662, the 39 Articles of Religion and reformed principles of the Church of England. VisitAnglican Communion Benedictines Popular Last Update: 2011/4/19 13:50
Description:
Today’s fast paced, stressful world works against stability, wholeness and hearing the voice of God in stillness and quiet. Family life is strained, personal life is imbalanced, deep relationships are difficult to establish and maintain. Seeking happiness by pursuing pleasure leads only to deep dissatisfaction. People are searching . . . but not finding.
1,500 years ago, Benedict of Norcia pioneered a way of life aimed at restoring balance and promoting authentic human living deeply aware of God’s abiding presence. Today, people of all ages and walks of life, and from within our own Anglican tradition, are discovering afresh the ancient wisdom in Benedict’s way, which teaches that happiness is not an achievement but the fruit of listening, humility, hospitality and generous sharing.
Through creating and developing lives and communities of thick-virtue, sustained by continual conversion to the Gospel of Christ Jesus, those following in the footsteps of Benedict offer an alternative witness to contemporary culture and a better way of sound living. This is not a spirituality that requires a departure from everyday life, but rather a way that embraces and becomes fully engaged in the holiness we strive for in our daily existence and the call to follow Christ in all that we do.
