VisitThe Community of Peace, Order of St. Alcuin (CANA) Popular Last Update: 2008/9/10 23:48
Description:
We are a Sacramental, Liturgical and Eucharistic Disbursed Benedictine Third Order. Our Liturgies are Anglican in tradition but not "tradition" bound. We strive to be the ancient, undivided Church to a divisive and chaotic world. By the daily living out of our Baptismal Promises (in our home communities, our outreach is to address issues of peace and justice in a prayerful, Christ-centered manner.

Intercessory Prayer, esp. our "No Child Left Behind ... Spiritually" and Multi-generational Family Faithfulness are our primary ministries. This special Intercessional Program for grandparents (and those of Grandparenting age) desiring a richer spirituality of presence for their children and grandchildren. This program is also a conduit for intercessory prayer for the increasingly dangerous world our children and grandchildren live.

We also reach out to those suffering as a result of abortion, offering spiritual direction, retreats and therapy. We also walk prayerfully with those facing end of life issues through Strength for the journey.
We offer many opportunities to join in our monastic lifestyle of balance, moderation, stability, conversion (from fear to love) and intercession. We follow the Rule of St. Benedict. Inquirers are encouraged to know that several levels of involvement are available. In addition to Professed Third Order community members, we offer involvement as an Oblate, Associate or friend.

Please visit our site, sign our Guest book, send a note or call to schedule a retreat or quiet day. Retreats and quiet days at your site may be scheduled. We await your call.
Please contact the Ven. Rev. Mother Kate at AmmaKate@yahoo.com for further information or to schedule any of our offerings at your site.

May God's peace and grace bless you abundantly.

VisitAll Souls Church - AMiA, Jacksonville, FL Popular Last Update: 2008/9/10 23:47
Description:
All Souls Church

Begun in 1978, All Souls Anglican Church is a vital part of the spiritual life of the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. The heart of our life together is worship and the nurture and discipleship of believers.
We view ourselves as a "Bible-believing Church" as we are under the authority of Holy Scripture, and strive to "continue steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers" (Acts 2:42)--as is expressed, for example, in the Zimbabwe Covenant.
All Souls is affiliated with the Anglican Mission in the Americas and is also a member of the Anglican Alliance of North Florida. If your are looking for a new church home or simply care to visit us, we welcome you. Our services are easy to participate in, and our members are warm and friendly.
Come and be a part of this wonderful, exciting time in the growth of our parish. You will always find a warm welcome extended to you.

The Anglican Mission in the Americas is a bold missionary strategy born seven years ago in response to a crisis of faith and leadership in North America. We are driven by a compelling vision of reaching the 150 million individuals in the U.S. and Canada who have yet to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ by building communities of faith and transforming lives.
